JELL-O Flan Spanish Style Custard Dessert With Caramel Sauce 85g
You don't have to know how to pronounce it in Spanish, just know it's delicious.
Makes 4 x 1/2 Cup Servings
Sugar, carrageenan (thickener), locust bean gum, potassium chloride, polysorbate 60 (prevents scorching), artificial flavour, yellow 5, salt, yellow 6, natural flavour.
Caramel sauce ingredients:
High fructose corn syrup, sugar, caramel colour, artificial flavour.
2 cups of milk.
Open caramel sauce packet.
Pour into 4 small custard cups or 1 small bowl.
Stir flan mix into 2 cups milk* in small saucepan.
Bring to full boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. (Mixture will be thin.)
Pour slowly over caramel.
Refrigerate 1 hour or until set. (Or, refrigerate 2 hours if preparing in bowl.)
To unmold, run small metal spatula around edge of each custard.
Invert onto plate; shake slightly to loosen.
Remove cup or bowl.
Makes 4 (1/2-cup) servings. *For best results, use 2% or whole milk.
Fat-free, 1% or evaporated milk can also be used. Or, use a combination of 1/2 cup canned sweetened condensed milk and 1-1/2 cups 2% or whole milk.
