1. Pour equal amounts of hashbrowns and hot water (140°F - 160°F) into a bowl or fill carton with hot water to fill line. Make sure all hashbrowns are covered with water. Let hashbrowns sit at room temperature for 12 minutes. Drain.
For full carton preparation transfer to holding pan after draining until ready for use (refrigerate if not to be used immediately, but use remainder within 24 hours).
2. Grill in a well-oiled skillet on medium-high heat (375°F - 400°F) for 3 to 4 minutes or until golden brown. Grilling is required on one side only.
Preparation hints: For extra crispiness, flip hashbrowns and grill; for an additional 3-4 minutes or until desired crispiness.
For softer hashbrowns or when water temperature is less than 140°, let stand for 15 minutes in step 1 above.
